Legendary items

Description[]

These exclusive items are found in rare black and gold chests. The legendary consumables can be made by using Combine. Contrary to regular chests, their content doesn't change when reloading the game, so you cannot increase your chance to get a Legendary Item by reloading the game.

Some legendaries seem harder to get than others. Dark Rosary, Lover's Necklace, Seeker's Band, Windrunners, Pierremont's Folly, Restless Blade and Weeping Katana seem more common than the others (especially Lover's Necklace, Seeker's Band, Windrunners, Pierremont's Folly and Restless Blade).

Chest Probabilities:[]

Probabilities have been calculated according to the table below. Chance is based on difficulty selected, Archaeologist skill, and number of legendaries dropped already. (Tower uses normal column.)

With the presence of the Alchemist's Archaeologist perk, the probability is raised by +.01 (+1%), except for (Normal, Second).

Triple Threat Tips:[]

The Carapace set counts as a full set of Legendary Armor. The pieces do not appear in the Legendaries.txt data file, so they cannot be found in chests, but they are set as Legendaries as soon as the potion is consumed.
If you are planning on getting the "Triple Threat" achievement on Tower, you can play as an Alchemist with the Archaeologist perk. You still have to be extremely lucky.
On the other hand, picking Steady Hands boosts combine rate by 30%.
Steady Hands means that you only have to find a legendary weapon. To get the armor, consume a Carapace potion. Then using another crafted Legendary item will award the achievement.
The game only checks for the achievement when the legendary item is used. The item must be used last. This means that you need to use another legendary item after getting a Carapace potion.
